Testimonials - Mexico Transgender Centre

So I've had time to go through it. And generally speaking I wouldn't think anything NEEDs to be added. I suppose if you wanted to add additional details from like my perspective maybe.. but definitely not needed.

So things that I was concerned about most that I didn't have enough prior info for my comfort was:

The details in regards to crossing the border. The medical lane detail, the fact that entering Tijuana you don't even stop lol, then on the way back they do look at it, and there is a possibility of secondary inspection. Etc..

Knowing Spanish isn't required, but would make communication a lot easier. One of my night nurses didn't speak any English and we had to use Google translate to talk. But mostly English is just fine.

I was kind of taken aback at first at the Hospital, it did not have standard hospital vibes, more of a clinic at best, and kind of down  an alley. Only mildly freaked out that I was going to get murdered when we first rolled up. Haha.

For me the money situation was awkward. Paris the coordinator told me using a credit card was totally fine, but the doctor asked me for cash, which I didn't have and seemed annoyed when I told him I needed to use card, and that was awkward since I was already naked in the gown with IV in my arm.

I also really liked the assistant doctor, he had really good bedside manner, and even let me use his phone to text my wife that it was starting since they didn't let me take my phone in.

The recovery center was nice e enough. The google photos make it look much nicer than it is, but the staff is really cool.

I had the same issue with the payment of medicine where I thought card would be fine but they wanted cash. In this instance I had enough cash, but the cash I brought was supposed to be used for tipping.

I was given antibiotics and ibuprofen. That was it.  Not sure if that is how it goes for everyone,  but it was totally fine for me. I didn't really ever have extreme pain, just had to be smart about how I got up and down.

I also used Uber Eats a couple times in between meals for some local food, which the nurses brought to the room no problem.

I guess it could be mentioned that 3 meals and 2 snacks are included in the recovery center price.

I think that's the only things I wish I had known more about before going, but that could just be me, so I wouldn't say you would need to incorporate any of that haha
